Our Ethos
At our nursery, we believe in nurturing children’s curiosity through nature and outdoor play. Set on Molescroft Farm, where 10% of the land is dedicated to wildlife and the environment, our purpose-built nursery and pre-school offer children the freedom to learn, explore, and connect with the world around them.
Each age group enjoys direct access to secure outdoor spaces, with covered areas ensuring all-weather play. Children embark on farm adventures, spotting wildlife, exploring the changing seasons, and learning about the world through hands-on experiences.
Our raised beds and polytunnel allow little hands to grow fruit and vegetables, teaching patience, perseverance, and the joy of homegrown food—some of which even makes it into our delicious seasonal menus!
Through these experiences, we inspire a lifelong love of learning, adventure, and the great outdoors.

Come Visit Us
Outdoor learning
There are animals on the farm, including the nursery chickens and the children are involved in their care and help with their daily routine. This care for nature and animals is absolutely core to our ethos of a loving, nurturing environment where the children in our care can flourish. Please see our outdoor learning page to learn more about our furry friends which are a part of our family.
Our wider outdoor opportunities are open to all our children both big and small. We have quad cross-country buggies meaning even the smallest of our children can enjoy the space and fresh air we have to offer.

What We Do
Environment
We are always trying to find ways to be as environmentally friendly as possible with reduce, re-use and recycling being at the heart of our nursery ethos, whether it be through using as little plastic as possible or using recycled natural product all through the nursery.
Food
Our nursery cooks prepare amazing nutritious meals for the children every day on site. None of the food that we serve is processed, and sugar and salt are not added. We don’t serve puddings, rather a seasonal variety of fruit salads, smoothies and lassis. Snacks are savoury to avoid sugar sitting on the children’s teeth. Food is sourced locally where possible and often grown by the children from our own raised beds. See our Sample Menu.

Learning
We have many extra lessons, which the children love taking part in, from science, gardening club and music. We have educational visits up to Frith Farm, which is a veg box scheme which runs only a couple of field away on the farm.

Outdoor learning is fun!
